In the second year of sponsoring the program, VNPAY hopes that through the bus tickets and gratitude gifts, it will partly help the disadvantaged workers to have a warm Tet and reunite with their families.
On the morning of January 16, at PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd (Binh Tan district, Ho Chi Minh City), there was a ceremony to give away 1,000 bus tickets and give gifts to disadvantaged workers of the company returning to their hometown to celebrate Tet. This is a program organized by the Labor Newspaper in collaboration with the Labor Confederation of Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City, under the sponsorship of Vietnam Payment Solution Joint Stock Company (VNPAY) and Agribank.
VNPAY’s representative attending this year’s program is Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Anh Thu, Deputy Director of Southern Business Division. Sharing at the ceremony, Ms. Thu said: “New Year’s Eve” is a program with many humanistic meanings, helping employees have the conditions to be close to their families after many years away from home. We are honored to accompany the program and share with employees with difficult circumstances, so that everyone can have a happy and warm Tet.”
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Anh Thu, representative of VNPAY Company (right cover), gives gifts to Ms. Dau Thi Le and Ms. Doan Thi Nga, employees of PouYuen Company, from Nam Dinh, who work alone to support her sick husband and 3 children. When I was young, it had been 15 years that I could not return to my hometown to celebrate Tet.
Within the framework of the program, VNPAY’s representative also accompanied the organizers to visit and give gifts to a patient suffering from a serious illness and having a very difficult family situation.
It is known that on the afternoon of January 21, 2020, leaders of the District Party Committee, Binh Tan District Labor Confederation, the Board of Directors and the Trade Union of PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd sent workers home to celebrate Tet. These are workers in difficult circumstances, who have not been able to return home to celebrate Tet for many years. The above workers are covered by the company with tickets, traveling on 64 high-quality tourist cars with quality assurance (60 cars take workers to the central and northern provinces, 4 cars take workers to the western provinces). .
Tet Sum Vay is a social activity program organized annually by Lao Dong Newspaper starting in 2015, with the aim of supporting poor workers and workers to have a happy Tet. The organizers of the program will coordinate with the Confederation of Labor of the provinces and sponsors across the country to give tickets and gifts to disadvantaged workers right before the Lunar New Year.
The program has a profound human meaning, spreading the spirit of community sharing and social responsibility to individuals and businesses.
